Since 2019, MagNet Bank has been planting a sapling on behalf of each of its customers in the fourth tree planting campaign in its history, i.e. it has planted a total of 60,000 saplings by the end of 2023 and has committed to planting a further 7,500 trees by the end of 2024, in line with the growth of its customer base.

What tree species are we planting?
We plant mixed woodland with mixed species. In our country, we plant native pedunculate oak, wild fruit trees, maple, two-year-old saplings of 50-80 cm.
Where are the first MagNet Oaks?
We plant in the Ócsai Landscape Protection Area, in the protected state area of the Nagykőrös Pusztai Oaks in the Ipoly Valley and in the forests of the Bakonyerdő Zrt.
Who do we plant with?
The expertise of the Erdőmentők Alapítvány (Forest Savers Foundation) ensures that the seedlings are professionally planted and cared for until they get strong.
How did it begin?
At the initiative of our President Zsolt Fáy, we planted 40,000 trees between 2019 and 2021, in line with our customer base at the time. Between 2021 and 2022, we planted an extra 10,000 trees as part of the Tree Planting Action of the Banking Association, for which we were recognised by the Ministry of Agriculture.
How many trees are planned to be planted by the end of 2024?
As a result of the increased customer base due to the acquisition of Sopron Bank and the increase in the number of customers in 2022, we have pledged to plant 17,500 trees iby the end of 2024.
